According to the Center for Disease Control, â€Å"Obese youth are more likely to have risk factors for cardiovascular disease, such as high cholesterol or high blood pressure†¦In a population-based sample of 5-17-year-olds, 70% of obese youth had at least one risk factor for cardiovascular disease.† Since public administrative laws play a substantial role in obesity, public administration laws must be toughened in order to safeguard the public from becoming obese. For the sake of concise and clear discussion about America’s problem with obesity, it is first important to understand what this health condition entails. According to the definition provided by the World Health Organization (WHO), obesity is defined as a condition where a person incurs excessive body fat (World Health Organization 4).
